Lost Generation?

This morning my sister shared with me an inspiring video.  I know that I don’t usually share things outside of sports and training but this is different.  Its revealing and inspiring at the same time.  Thanks Jill…

Sports DO reveal Character

I was watching this video story from ESPN this morning.  For all that goes on in sports today that recieves a “bad rap” here is a story of sportsmanship and character.  After watching the story, a famous John Wooden quote came to mind, “Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

Airdyne Bike Workouts

An Airdyne Bike

Airdyne Bikes are not the most common bikes to be seen in many commercial gyms.  However, in strength and conditioning facilities they are in abundance.  In fact, in my facility we have 19 of them.  The great thing about the airdyne is that you will ride the bike using both your upper and lower body simultaneously.  If you get a chance to ride one where you workout I suggest hopping on one to give it a try.  Use some of the numbers below for a reference of how far you can go in a certain time.

                     Distance   Approximate Time

5 miles      15:00

7 miles      21:00

10 miles    30:00

After you’ve been able to get to those times, try implementing some intervals into your workout.  Good luck…
